The Role:
Do you have a proven track record in improving outcomes for our youngest children through your expert support and advice in speech and language development? Services for Young Children (SfYC) are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic part-time Advisor to the post of Early Years Speech and Language Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity for you to use your expertise and join a supportive team of professionals working across the county to raise outcomes for all Hampshire children.
What you’ll do:
The key purpose of the role is to support teachers and practitioners in schools and settings in improving speech, language and education outcomes for their children through the implementation of the SfYC Strategic Plan. The Advisory role will involve building trusting professional relationships and working closely with a range of different colleagues and partners across educational settings and within Hampshire County Council to deliver quality training, support and advice to make a difference for our youngest children.
What we’re looking for:
As a qualified speech and language therapist, you must have current experience and/or knowledge of working within the maintained, private, voluntary and independent sectors, and across the birth to five years age range. We are looking for someone who has an excellent knowledge and understanding of early years speech and language development, with a passion for inclusive practice in all areas of work. You will be able to challenge existing practices and identify innovative solutions. This role will work across Hampshire in different districts according to need and skills. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career and specialism.
