What you’ll do:

In this role, you will be responsible for analysing management information to identify trends and generate recommendations that support effective decision-making. You will carry out routine budget monitoring to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. A key part of your responsibilities will be to monitor systems, procedures, and standards, ensuring they are consistently applied and improved where necessary.

You will be expected to proactively identify opportunities for greater efficiency, raise any discrepancies, and oversee the implementation of improvements. Providing managers with clear information, options, and advice on the application of corporate policies, systems, and procedures will be an important aspect of your work.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records is essential, as is researching and sourcing information to respond to complex queries. You will also be expected to develop and maintain networks of approved contacts, both within and outside the organisation, to support the department’s business needs. Additionally, you will have line management and supervisory responsibilities for an administration team, supporting their development and ensuring high standards of performance.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a person with previous experience of working in an administrative job role. You will have strong administrative and IT skills and will be able to use IT systems effectively, including Microsoft Office packages and bespoke digital systems, with Excel, Word and other MS Office skills – ideally to RSA II or equivalent.

An aptitude for working with figures is essential as you will be required to manage the weekly reconciliation of banking for the offices that you and your team support. A working knowledge of SAP procurement and accounting would also be advantageous.

You will be a good communicator, highly organized and able to work calmly and accurately, often juggling a busy workload. You will have the ability to work well as a member of a team whilst balancing workload priorities and acting on your own initiative. As you will be providing an administrative service across a geographical area for the Registration Service you will need to be able to meet the travel requirements of the role.
