Royal Greenwich is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Programme and Public Realm team within Transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects through all stages, from planning and design to procurement, construction and completion, ensuring successful delivery to time, cost and quality requirements.
- Work closely with internal services, consultants, contractors, elected members, communities and external partners to maintain strong governance, effective stakeholder engagement, and robust risk and performance management.
- Supervise consultants and contractors, report progress to senior officers and boards, and support continuous improvement across project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Motivated and capable project manager with experience delivering complex transport, engineering or public realm projects.
- Strong technical and project management skills, sound understanding of relevant design standards and ability to review design drawings in detail, providing clear, constructive comments.
- Experience of programme planning, budget management, risk management and stakeholder engagement, and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams in a politically aware environment.
- Confident preparing reports and briefings, presenting to senior officers and members, and managing competing priorities.
- A degree, technical qualification or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field, and project management knowledge such as PRINCE2 or equivalent.
