The Royal Borough of Greenwich is looking for a professional Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to work within their Compliance Section, which is part of the Housing and Safer Communities Directorate.
You will be joining a team of Heating Mechanical and Electrical Engineers engaged on both Maintenance and Capital contracts (Gas and Renewables).
Requirements:
- A minimum of HNC/BTech or NVQ Level 5 in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering Services or extensive experience and relevant current Gas qualifications.
- A good knowledge of the Commercial and Domestic Heating and Hot and Cold Water Industry, its working practices and Regulations, particularly British and EN Standards, the Building Regulations, Gas and Electricity Regulations, Sustainable and Energy conservation technology.
- A good knowledge of the construction industry generally including health and safety, materials, trades, building methods, legal and contractual requirements.
- Excellent organisational, communication and negotiating skills.
- The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff at all levels.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of the team.
This post is office based with limited time to work from home.
