Street Services provide a highly visible frontline service to all the borough’s residents, business and visitors from sweeping roads to collecting household and businesses waste bins. This vital frontline service has a huge impact on residents, the community and cleanliness of the public realm.
We are looking for motivated individuals to apply for our Street Cleansing Operatives (SCO) roles
As a Street Cleansing Operative in this safety critical role, you will be responsible for:
- The sweeping of the borough’s streets, town centres and highways
- Emptying street litter bins
- Reporting and removing fly tips
- Reporting anti-social behaviour and repairs to your team leader
You will be working within an area-based location anywhere across the borough between the hours of 6am and 8pm Monday to Friday including weekends (1 in every 4 weeks) and Bank Holidays on a Contractual overtime basis.
Salary details £33,489 - £33,897 (Includes London weighting, contractual overtime IVA and Laundry allowance).We offer great staff benefits including:

This is classed as a safety critical role
