Overview

In this Educational Psychologist role, you will contribute to a values-driven, child- and family-centred service within the EP&Wellbeing team. You’ll work in a consultative model to deliver preventative, systemic and innovative support across settings. The role includes shaping new approaches like the Expert at Hand and collaborating with schools and partner services to improve outcomes. You will be part of a supportive, reflective environment with strong leadership and ongoing CPD.

Responsibilities

  • Operate within a consultation framework to support schools and families
  • Engage in ELSA and MeLSA, Video Interaction Guidance (VIG), and multi-family group work
  • Provide training, supervision and coaching to staff and trainees
  • Deliver organisational and systems consultancy to improve services
  • Contribute to evaluating and scaling innovative approaches like Expert at Hand
  • Collaborate with cross-sector partners (Virtual School, ASD Outreach, Early Years Inclusion, Inclusion Service, Youth Justice Service, Family Hubs)
  • Support wellbeing initiatives as part of the borough’s wellbeing strategy
  • Participate in service development, project work and CPD planning
  • Provide direct practice that aligns with equity, inclusion and anti-racist principles
