The Royal Borough of Greenwich is synonymous with iconic London landmarks, rich culture and outstanding service delivery. The borough is home to the O2 Arena, Greenwich Park, Eltham Palace, Cutty Sark and outstanding transport links and is supporting ambitious plans for the DLR extension to Thamesmead. We are ambitious for our borough and committed to providing outstanding, modern services for our residents, businesses and workforce.

As our new Director, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering digital transformation across the council and beyond. You will lead a diverse portfolio spanning information governance, cyber security, infrastructure and technology services, contract management, and the effective use of digital resources.

Royal Greenwich published its first Digital Strategy in 2020. The time is now right to refresh and build on that vision, ensuring we continue to embrace innovation, creativity and emerging technologies over the next four years and beyond.

An experienced and inspirational senior leader, you will play a critical enabling role, working collaboratively with chief officers, councillors and partners across the borough. Your appetite for innovation will be matched by a clear understanding of risk, governance and the importance of protecting council and resident data.

To succeed in this role, you will bring substantial digital expertise, strategic vision and a passion for enabling colleagues to deliver excellent services for our communities.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich values the diversity of its community and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We therefore encourage applications from all sections of the community.
