The role As a content designer in our Product team in Digital, Operations and Access, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team working on designing new products and improving existing ones.
You’ll work closely with other council teams to improve information about their services, listening to their needs and balancing them with business and technical constraints.
You’ll speak up for our users, whether they are residents or staff, and use data and research to make sure our products and services meet their needs.
You’ll report to a senior content designer and play an active role in our content design community of practice.
What You’ll Do Lead content design for our most complex products and services, working in the open with the user at the centre of all you do, including working across multiple product teams concurrently.
Work in multidisciplinary teams to deliver services end to end from discovery to live.
Contribute to content strategy for whole service transformation and product development.
Contribute to the creation of standards, guidance and style patterns for the council, ensuring content is human‑centred, clear, accessible, helpful, inclusive and of a high standard across all channels and services.
