We are seeking reliable, professional General Maintenance Operatives for a newly created team (General Maintenance Team) within our Caretaking Services. The General Maintenance Operative will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance tasks across the borough, including painting, mould clearance/washing, waste clearance and general grounds maintenance within Royal Borough of Greenwich owned/managed properties.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out a range of maintenance tasks across the borough, including painting, mould clearance/washing, waste clearance and general grounds maintenance within Royal Borough of Greenwich owned/managed properties.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of maintenance and repairs works.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team to deliver high quality services to our residents.
- To work shifts between the hours of 6:00am and 8:00pm Monday to Friday; there may be a requirement to cover out of hours in emergency situations. Weekend working may also be required.
- To provide a range of painting tasks borough-wide for both internal and external areas, communal areas and within resident’s dwellings.
- To provide mould washing services to resident’s dwellings, including offering advice on mould prevention methods.
- Work at heights using step ladders, extension ladders, scaffold towers and cherry pickers.
