Greenwich is a borough with a world‑class cultural heritage and a bold vision for the future. Our new Culture Strategy sets out an ambitious programme to strengthen our cultural infrastructure, support creative talent, and ensure every resident can access high‑quality cultural experiences.

We’re now looking for an exceptional Fundraising Lead to help turn that vision into reality.

As our Fundraising Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive fundraising programme to support major new cultural initiatives across the borough. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to secure investment for revenue programmes, creative industries development, and capital projects that strengthen Greenwich’s cultural infrastructure.

You’ll identify opportunities, build partnerships, and develop high‑quality bids to government, arm’s‑length bodies, trusts and foundations, and other strategic funders. This is a pivotal role that will shape the future of culture in Greenwich.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead fundraising for the borough’s Culture Strategy and major cultural programmes.
  • Develop compelling, evidence‑based funding proposals for both revenue and capital investment.
  • Build strong partnerships with cultural organisations, community groups, and creative businesses.
  • Work with colleagues across Culture, Regeneration, Planning, and Economic Development to develop fundable projects.
  • Manage relationships with key funders including Arts Council England, NLHF, GLA, DCMS, and major trusts/foundations.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for funded projects.

About you:

You’ll be an experienced fundraiser with a strong track record of securing investment for cultural, creative, heritage, or community programmes. You’ll bring excellent writing skills, strategic insight, and the ability to build strong partnerships across sectors.

You’ll be confident navigating the cultural funding landscape, comfortable working at pace, and motivated by the opportunity to make a real impact on cultural life in one of London’s most dynamic boroughs.

Why Greenwich:

This is an exciting moment to join us. With a new Culture Strategy, major regeneration programmes, and a thriving creative community, Greenwich is a place where culture can genuinely transform lives. You’ll play a central role in unlocking the investment needed to make that happen.

This post is being advertised on a 2 year Fixed Term Contract.
