The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are seeking a highly organised, flexible individual with significant experience managing election teams or functions of such teams with a track record of high performance in a demanding role.

You will provide advice and support on all matters relating to electoral services, ensuring that all statutory duties are met in accordance with legislation, statutory codes, and other guidance. You will lead on key elements of delivery and support the Head of Electoral Services and Registrars with the development and implementation of modern ways of working and professional best practices and will deputise for the Head of Electoral Services and Registrars as required.

The candidate will preferably have:

  1. The Certificate in Electoral Administration from the AEA or will study towards its completion.
  2. Experience of working in an Electoral Services Team at a senior level delivering projects to strict legal deadlines and often under pressure.
  3. Good knowledge of electoral legislation and its application along with associated guidance and Electoral Management Software systems, as well as windows-based IT packages.
  4. Proven analytical skills and ability to interpret complex information.
  5. Excellent communication skills and experience of engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders using tact and diplomacy.
  6. Creativity and innovation to find solutions to problems and overcome obstacles to ensure deadlines are met.
