Position Overview
Deputy Nursery Manager to lead a team at Vista Field Children’s Centre, Greenwich. Requires 36 hours per week from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work on open days.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day running of the setting in line with statutory framework and drive Ofsted excellence.
- Support the Nursery Manager and deputise in their absence.
- Assist in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, including planning and record keeping.
- Motivate and inspire the nursery team, ensuring children are well looked after, content, and stimulated, while maintaining positive relationships with parents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 in Childcare or a higher Early Years qualification.
- Experience managing a nursery team (deputy or senior).
- Understanding of children’s centres, equality and diversity, and working with SEND.
Personal Attributes
- Organised, hands‑on, and effective communicator.
- Ability to engage and encourage children, and develop and maintain professional relationships with local authority departments, regulatory bodies and agencies.
