This job is focused on tackling fly-tipping. We are looking for a Deputy Communications and Engagement Manager to lead our fly-tipping and waste campaigns. You will help us communicate and engage with residents and other stakeholders to deliver a high-profile campaign to tackle the scourge of fly-tipping. This will include naming and shaming offenders as well as using behaviour change science to make it as easy as possible for people to do the right thing.
We need someone with excellent writing and planning skills to deliver creative and innovative targeted campaigns with clear objectives that are regularly evaluated. You will have led behaviour change campaigns and have experience managing external agencies. You will need to write engaging content for a range of publications, channels and audiences, as well as managing the Council's reputation through the press and social media. You will be confident creating and editing your own video content, working to deadlines and building trust with colleagues and political members.
Based in Woolwich, a short walk from the new Elizabeth line station, with some working from our Birchmere Centre too, the role will comprise a mix of office and some home working.
