Building Surveyor
Opportunity with the Disability & Home Improvement Team (DHIT).
The multi-disciplinary team provides services to the homes of Greenwich residents across all tenures, focussing on supporting older and vulnerable residents to live independently in their homes by adapting or improving them.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will have a broad and detailed working knowledge of home renovation and disability-related adaptations.
The role requires a building surveyor to deliver and carry out the full range of building surveying tasks associated with identification, specification and implementation of building and adaptation works to residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver building surveying tasks for identification, specification and implementation of building and adaptation works to residential properties.
- Work closely with the technical team to support and develop high-quality services for vulnerable people.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide support to older and vulnerable residents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Architecture or a related field.
- Relevant professional qualification or membership of a recognised body (e. g., RICS).
- Experience in home renovation and disability-related adaptations.
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality services to vulnerable people.
- Employment Terms
- Position: Building Surveyor x 1.0 PO4 full time permanent (or 2‑year fixed term contract).
- Salary: £49,506 – £52,194 (inc. London Weighting).
