We have been instructed to search for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a first-class care provider on their acute adult ward in Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting time to join as the service is in a period of planned growth, with a new ward opening imminently. All current medical staff are substantive, which reflects well on the stability and culture of the team.
The Role
You'll hold clinical and RC responsibility for a mixed gender acute ward, working alongside 3 established consultants on site. A dedicated Speciality Doctor supports each consultant full-time. This is a post ideal for someone with a CCT (or equivalent) or experience in general adult psychiatry.
Working Pattern
- ~4 days on site + 1 day working from home
- ~ Very manageable on-call structure with minimal call-outs
- ~ E-prescribing is handled remotely via an established online platform
What We're Looking For
- CCT/CCST in General Adult Psychiatry (or equivalent)
- Full GMC registration with a relevant Specialist Register entry
- Experience in acute inpatient settings
- Approved Clinician status (or eligibility)
- Strong MDT working and communication skills
