Job Title

Nurse Lead: Strategy and Innovation – 0.2 WTE, Band 8a (Scope for flexibility in WTE allocation)

Overview

A new, exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an ambitious nurse to become an integral part of the clinical leadership team of the Midlands Endoscopy Training Academy. The role focuses on the Midlands footprint across the East and West Midlands, adopting a strategic and innovative approach to support nursing workforce challenges and improve patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Midlands Endoscopy Network to support their nursing framework, addressing workforce challenges and improving patient care.
  • Work with ICB regional leads, key stakeholders, and endoscopy centres to understand the regional position of endoscopy nurse workforce training, identify training gaps, and align them with the META workforce training plan.
  • Develop a delivery plan to further enhance the regional nurse workforce training plan within the Endoscopy Training Academy structure.
  • Report to the Clinical Director and managerial leads within META, maintaining high standards and providing quality assurance reports to NHS Trusts to enable process improvements.
  • Engage with equivalent post holders in other regional Endoscopy Academies and stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

  • Clinical nursing experience in endoscopy or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategy and innovation initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training plans and quality assurance reports.
  • Flexibility to work within a secondment arrangement, requiring approval from current employer.
