Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study in the heart of the city. The Department of Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing has two exciting opportunities for experienced Mental Health Nurses to join our team as Lecturers. We are looking to recruit 2 full-time Lecturers in Mental Health nursing to support a range of teaching and learning activities across all our pre-registration nursing courses. You must be an experienced mental health nurse, highly motivated and well organised, with excellent communication skills. You will be joining our future-focused, innovative, and creative team. We are motivated by the student experience of learning and teaching, and by student success and are proud to be educating the nurses of the future.
Responsibilities
- Support a range of teaching and learning activities across all our pre-registration nursing courses.
- Focus on student experience, learning and teaching, and student success.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must hold active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- Previous experience of teaching is desirable; however, we are also keen to support people making a move from clinical practice to nurse education.
