Qualifications

  • Full registration with GMC
  • MRCS or equivalent
  • Desirable criteria: JAG Accreditation, Experience in surgery at SpR level
  • Desirable criteria: Demonstration of experience in general surgery
  • Desirable criteria: NHS experience
  • Desirable criteria: Ability to offer clinical opinion on a range of problems in general surgery
  • Desirable criteria: Ability to take responsibility for clinical care of patients with surgical conditions
  • Desirable criteria: Research with higher degree in general surgery
  • Desirable criteria: Experience of MDT working; evidence of good written and verbal communication skills
  • Desirable criteria: Ability and enthusiasm to teach medical undergraduates and Allied Health Professionals
  • Desirable criteria: Personal participation in audit

Other requirements

  • We are NOT able to carry out telephone interviews; applicants must be prepared to travel for an interview.
  • All new appointments to the Trust, with the exception of executive positions, are subject to a probationary period.
