Join us as a Senior Relationship Manager in Commercial Real Estate Finance. We're looking for someone to control strategic and day-to-day support for client services, business development and relationship building. You'll form part of the frontline client team and add value to the client agenda. This is an opportunity to develop and manage the strategies used to maintain strong client experiences, making sure that excellent client services are being delivered.
Your time will be split between client meetings at their premises, collaborating with colleagues in the office, minimum two days a week, or as required, with the remainder working remotely.
What you'll do
- In this fast-paced role, you'll be building deep relationships with your customers and prospects, developing quantitative and qualitative business cases for their borrowing requests, using these to estimate lending and service needs and requirements.
- Providing effective business management skills through the management of existing client relationships, serving as a liaison between the customer and business partners to ensure all customer needs are met and updates are received by both parties.
- Assuming primary responsibility for origination and non-origination activities for a specified complex portfolio of customers, with a view to growing the portfolio especially via Business Development activities.
- Assisting in actively managing the overall sector portfolio considering risks, capital allocation and other commercial factors.
- Performing best in class credit stewardship, transaction execution and customer service, acting as a first line of defence.
- Identifying and managing risks, including proactively managing problem loans, data quality and portfolio reporting.
- Driving the delivery of financial metrics while minimising incidences of bad debts.
The skills you'll need
- Broad experience in the banking industry, including a regulatory and commercial environment.
- A deep understanding and significant experience in the application of risk management disciplines.
- Experience of relevant legal policies, regulatory and statutory obligations and risk management.
- Credit skills suitable for the stewardship of appropriate customer exposures.
- Experience of analysing complex financial information and identifying and structuring appropriate solutions.
- Extensive customer and sector specialism knowledge.
- Experience of line management would be beneficial.
