What is the opportunity?
You will be a Product Controller in the London Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) Structured Rates Product Control team.
What will you do?

Provide an effective link between Front Office (FO) & other stakeholders within the wider Finance team, bringing specialist product knowledge to resolve any disagreements in daily P&L on a timely basis and achieve ultimate P&L agreement with FO.

Daily production of P&L and decomposition reporting to the front office traders, including an analytical review of the risk-based decomposition, comparison of trader flash versus actual, and other end-of-day reports.

Ensure integrity of the bank’s books and records, including reconciliation to bank ledger systems, and attestation of the books and records each month-end.

Notify the wider Product Control team and stakeholders of revaluation issues that may affect downstream activity.

Produce analytical reporting for the business and Finance team, in addition to ad-hoc reporting as required by Front Office & senior management.

Involve in key change management projects to deliver improvements to daily processes.

Ensure Product Control remains independent and is perceived as a control function.

Support and provide training to junior team members.

Must-have

Strong vanilla options, structured interest rates, and note issuance product and revaluation skills.

Competent accountancy skills; preferably fully qualified CIMMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent.

Excellent numerical skills with the ability to problem solve logically.

Excellent communication skills, especially with Front Office members.

Capable of working to tight deadlines & under severe time pressure.

Effective in allocating priorities.
