We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Glasgow as a Portfolio Management Assistant on a permanent basis. This role supports Portfolio Managers and Investment Managers in production of portfolio proposals, reviews, and associated client administration.

This position is full time and will require you to work a minimum of 4 days in the office per week with the option to work one day from home.

What will you do?

Develop knowledge of Wealth Management, the wider business offering and the Financial Services sector.

Execute trades on instruction from CP Portfolio Manager or Investment Manager, where appropriate.

Complete all work according to procedures and standards.

Collates and verifies the accuracy of information and work provided.

Support business development through correct application of client processes and procedures.

Assist team members as required and work effectively with colleagues.

Information giver – providing clients with information and not advice.

Limited client interaction at this stage but any interaction should be maintained with Brewin Dolphin’s conduct and professionalism standards.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Maths GCSE or equivalent.

An understanding of portfolio management, client advice processes and industry knowledge.

Accuracy and attention to detail

Strong numerical skills

Clear and concise communication skills – oral and written.

Nice-to-have

A level or degree educated.
