This role is a full-time, permanent position and will require 4 days in the office.

What will you do?

  • Conduct and oversee execution of the Europe Financial Crimes Oversight Testing schedule.
  • Review and provide challenge to testing completed by the Europe Financial Crimes Oversight Testing (FCOT) Team.
  • Proactively identify risks, trends, themes and systemic breakdowns in the Financial Crimes and operational controls.
  • Provide management reporting and escalation on results of oversight testing.
  • Co-ordinate testing with the FCOT Canada team to ensure timely and complete coverage.
  • Establish and oversee processes to effectively monitor regulatory changes, enforcement actions and industry standards/guidance to inform local testing.
  • Support with the identification of areas of enhancement and efficiency in the testing program.
  • Assist with the execution of strategic changes in the Financial Crimes Oversight Testing Program as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Strong Audit or Testing/Assurance experience.
  • Strong skills in enhancing and maintaining consistent risk-based testing programs.
  • Very strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of International laws and regulations related to AML, ATF, and Sanctions, particularly in UK/Europe.
  • Working background/experience with the major business segments of RBC.

Nice-to-have:

  • Language capabilities – any of German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Luxembourgish, Italian would be an asset.
  • Quickly adaptable to changing circumstances/priorities.
