You will be a Senior HR Advisor for the RBC BlueBay business in the UK. You will assist with the development of engaging experiences that attract, develop, reward, engage and retain talent. For the business areas you’re aligned to you will advise on people and culture to accelerate execution of the business strategy.
This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days on-site at our 100 Bishopsgate, London office.
What will you do?
- Engagement: In partnership with the HR Business Partner, implement and drive compelling experiences that attract, develop, reward, engage and retain top talent. Analyse Employee Survey results and partner with the business to develop action plans, execute the plans and evaluate return on investment. Work with management teams to continue momentum throughout the year. Look at other engagement initiatives and act as the HR contact.
- Talent Management: Work in partnership with the HR Business Partner on key Talent Management initiatives and ensure successful roll out. Work with business leaders to identify talent pipelines and develop clear succession plans and plans for critical roles.
- Business Initiatives: Participate in project initiatives to improve HR practices and procedures. Management of ad hoc project requests as required. Identify and recommend changes to current systems and procedures to ensure high standards of service are maintained.
- Performance Management: Provide support to Managers in relation to the performance management cycle and ensure they are effective and meet the deadlines. Coach and support managers in responding to underperformance and capability issues identified.
- Learning & Development: Support the business in assessing and strengthening employee skills and capability. In partnership with the Learning & Development team, provide creative learning solutions and development opportunities.
- Culture & Inclusion: Actively promote an inclusive culture. Contribute ideas with the HR Business Partner and Managers to further strengthen the culture. Ensure advice is provided in line with relevant jurisdictional law and in line with RBC's Doing What's Right and best practice policies.
- Compensation: Support the HR Business Partner and partner with business leaders to execute the year end compensation process. Assist compensation in reviewing, evaluating and job matching roles in respect to the annual salary surveys. Work with compensation to ensure correct positioning of new and existing roles. Liaise with compensation, HRBPs & business to provide relevant market data.
What do you need to succeed?
- Must-have: Previous experience of working in a busy HR Department, providing excellent customer service to employees of all levels. Proven experience as a Senior HR Advisor in partnering with the business and giving employee relations advice. Experience working with Senior Leadership teams.
- Nice-to-have: Experience working in a matrix environment.
