The Data Operations team is the backbone of data integrity at RBC Global Asset Management. The team creates and maintains securities, issuers, accounts, and benchmarks that power the systems supporting investment operations across the organisation. This work enables Investment teams, Trade Operations, Fund Operations, Performance, and other stakeholders to execute trades, onboard clients, report performance, and advance GAM-wide strategic initiatives with confidence.

As a Senior Data Management Analyst, you'll play a critical role in maintaining data accuracy, driving process improvements, and acting as a trusted liaison between business and technology teams. You'll oversee key data operations workflows, support strategic implementations, and bring both technical depth and asset management expertise to solve complex data challenges. This role requires someone who can take ownership, think strategically, and elevate the team's capability through mentorship and proactive stakeholder engagement.

This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days in the 100 Bishopsgate, London office.

What will you do?

  • Oversee and optimise Data Operations business processes to ensure deliverables meet timelines, quality standards, and productivity targets.
  • Maintain and enrich RBC Global Asset Management's data warehouse, including security classification, analytics, and reference data across all investment groups.
  • Collaborate across the organisation to understand enterprise data needs, and translate business requirements into actionable data requirements.
  • Analyse data procedures and processes to identify inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and drive meaningful process improvements that challenge the status quo.
  • Support short- to mid-term project implementations and act as an operational subject matter expert on data operations principles and practices.
  • Develop toolsets and methods to improve data quality, availability, and standardisation across workflows.
  • Document business and technical processes to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
  • Build credibility with senior stakeholders through reliable delivery, clear insights, and proactive problem-solving—including representing the team at incident meetings and critical discussions.
  • Bridge communication between business and technology teams, making complex technical concepts accessible to diverse audiences.

  • Experience working in asset management or investment management data operations.
  • Understanding of financial instruments and how data flows through the investment management business.
