We are looking for a talented individual to join as a Senior Business Analyst within the Funding, Treasury and Liquidity (FTL) Program in London. The specific role will report to the Pre-Trade Product Owner who is also based in London and form part of the global development team. The role will focus primarily on Pre-Trade activities within the Central Funding Group primarily working on the ATOM application. ATOM is a greenfield global front office analytics, risk and trade order management platform used globally by the Central Funding business. RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?
- Deliver enhancements on the ATOM platform as well as provide day-to-day support to traders using this application.
- Participate in the SDLC from the beginning, where you will be involved in requirements gathering workshops and ad-hoc sessions, until the end where you will sign off on test results before deployment.
- Interact with senior leadership, traders and technology teams across the organization.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- Experience working as a Business Analyst in Front Office and Back Office teams
- Experience in gathering requirements for Front Office users
- Detailed understanding of the Repo and Sec Lending markets (Front Office, Settlements and Collateral Management)
- Ability to translate requirements from non-technical users to developers
- Ability to explain technical issues and constraints to non-technical users
- In depth knowledge of a Repo trading platform
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a global team split across several different locations and time zones.
Nice-to-have:
- Understanding of the various P&L valuations
- Knowledge of Risk calculation methods
- Understanding of the Apex infrastructure
