We are looking for a Director to join our London Office to drive Global EM Product adaptation internally and externally. This role sits at a unique intersection of sales, strategy, marketing and trading with the explicit goal of helping drive and sell RBC’s EM franchise (Latam, Asia, CEEMA, Rates & FX) across all client segments including Corporates, Institutional and Commercial in North America and EMEA. You will be dedicated primarily to leading engagement with new and existing clients in multiple geographies through trading commentary, idea generation (in collaboration with EM Strategy), liaising with Global Sales teams to uncover clients that have EM needs and driving greater flow and connectivity with the rest of the trading desk in New York, London and Asia. You will also provide expertise and analytical capabilities to senior management in matters relating to expansion of product offering, broad capabilities expansion and managing risk in collaboration with the team.
What will you do?
- Grow Global EM franchise through internal/external marketing (trips, contents, round-table forums, etc) in North America/EMEA and building/growing a client facing business.
- Align and partner with rest of the EM Trading team in NY, London and Asia, working as a unit to source flow as the broader trading team focuses on pricing, monetizing and risk managing flows.
- Collaborate with our Sales, Corporate Banking and XVA teams to prospect and develop dormant, existing and new EM flow relationships by optimising credit charges and pricing.
- Help change RBC FX Brand & perception among clients to a Global FX and EM market participant.
- Ensure the highest level of support is constantly available to our sales desks and our electronic platforms.
- Provide work supervision to the more junior traders and receive their support in matters of a routine nature.
- Price making, risk management and trading of EM FX products as needed to backup rest of the team.
- Leverage existing key client relationships to drive flow & revenue opportunities.
What do you need to succeed?
- Must-have Broad dealing experience in the financial markets, particularly in foreign exchange and money markets.
- Basic knowledge of Capital Markets.
- Experience in an EM FX market making role.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate well under pressure.
