We are looking for an individual to join Equities Systematic Risk Trading and help develop innovative systematic liquidity provisioning solutions to advance RBC’s European offerings in equity products. The role will entail using advanced quantitative and analytical techniques to solve client problems, maximise commercial opportunities for the firm, while ensuring disciplined risk management. We are recruiting at either Associate or VP level.

What will you do?

  • Develop and scale systematic liquidity provisioning strategies in Europe. This will involve creating a framework for risk pricing, managing automated facilitation engines, optimising unwind and hedging strategies and providing comprehensive post trade analytics.
  • Work closely with North American systematic team to expand the business globally, and support daily trading activities in Europe.
  • Work closely with Technology teams to architect scalable solutions to support the growth of systematic business.
  • Work with various internal trading teams and stakeholders to facilitate equity order flow, and manage the risk and PnL of the trading books.
  • Constantly strive to increase notional facilitated and create commercial outcomes through continuous enhancements to systematic process.

What you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s (or advanced) Degree in engineering, finance, economics or mathematics.
  • Proven experience in financial services.
  • Quantitative and analytic skills and experience with data analysis.
  • Analytical thinking and capabilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong development skills in Python, KDB, C++ (or equivalent programming languages).
  • Technical skills that can help drive solutions to highlight opportunities for improving business performance and operating environment or to address issues.
  • Strong team player that is able to work with resources across Capital Markets and Enterprise teams.
