Join Wealth Management Europe's Data Governance team and make a real impact on how we manage and use data across the organisation. You'll own key aspects of our data governance strategy - from maintaining our Collibra metadata hub to implementing quality controls and building dashboards that stakeholders actually rely on. It's a role where you'll work across teams, solve real data problems, and help shape how we approach data governance at scale. This is a permanent, full-time role based in our London office, with 4 days in-office and the flexibility to work remotely one day per week.
What will you do?
- Support the maintenance and expansion of our metadata and data lineage in Collibra, building out our Data Catalogue and Business Glossary.
- Work with Data Owners and Stewards to drive governance initiatives and keep projects on track.
- Define and implement data quality rules by working with business stakeholders and analysing real datasets.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards that give stakeholders the insights they need.
- Spot data issues early, investigate root causes, and drive improvements across the organisation.
- Support the delivery of our WME data governance programme in line with RBC's enterprise standards.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases.
- Proven experience with data governance tools (Collibra) and data visualisation platforms (Tableau/PowerBI).
- Solid grasp of data management principles, data flow, and governance policies.
- Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex data concepts for different audiences.
- Experience in financial services with a good understanding of the business context.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working.
- Experience with business analysis tools (data flow diagrams, data models, process modelling).
- Formal qualification in data governance, data management, or data modelling.
