We are seeking an Analyst/Associate to join our Multi-Asset Structuring team as part of TMG, a dynamic global front-office function that sits at the heart of structured product issuance across Global Equities and Structured Rates and Commodity desks. In this role, you will drive the end-to-end management of complex structured note issuances, from initial concept through market launch. You'll collaborate with Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to develop innovative products across multiple asset classes—including Equity, Rates, Credit, Commodities, and FX—while generating critical trade documentation and ensuring all transactions meet rigorous legal, operational, and compliance standards. As a key liaison between business teams and support functions, you'll leverage automation, cutting-edge tools, and AI to build scalable, efficient processes that transform how we structure and distribute complex financial products globally.
What will you do?
- Collaborate with Sales, Trading and Structuring, to help generate and review the trade related documentation, producing standard form such as, but not limited to Pricing Supplements or Final Terms for all products ensuring that the payoff, economic features and product events are reflected correctly and match the business objectives.
- Review additional documentation relating to structured product issuances, including, but not limited to distribution- and subscription agreements, Global Notes, and regulatory reporting.
- Daily support to Global Sales and other Structuring teams on live transactions that require TMG confirmation and/or advisory in connection with any issuance related matters, legal provisions on documentation and operational queries.
- Collaborate with Sales, Structuring and Trading in the creation of new payoffs where TMG will advise on the feasibility from a program and documentation perspective.
- Work with the Front Office Technology team and vendors on refining, maintaining and enhancing existing platform capabilities.
- Liaise with RBC law group and external counsel on transactions and project related matters and to ensure legal risk to RBC is minimized.
- Support TMG in other regions as necessary.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Ability to work meticulously under a high degree of pressure and strict deadlines.
- Good knowledge of capital markets products, such as equity, rates, credit, and commodity.
- Capital Markets experience or previous experience in investment banks or legal firms and basic knowledge of structured products and derivatives across different asset classes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex payoff structures.
- Accuracy in work output and strong attention to detail.
- Proactive team player.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills.
- Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Bachelor’s degree and MBA, MA or MS or equivalent with emphasis in finance.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with current legal, regulatory and tax requirements related to structured product issuances.
- Knowledge of documentation requirements for capital markets products.
- Understanding of various MTN programs and related trade documentation.
- Coding skills (e.g. VBA, Python).
- Experience in using AI.
