What is the opportunity?
We are currently looking for an Analyst to join our Technology sector team. This will be to work on preparing market analysis, strategic analysis and valuation/financial modelling for clients, as well as advising clients on their strategy and the successful implementation of transactions.
What will you do?
- Transaction execution, new business presentations, meetings and other such duties
- Work with the wider European and US teams (and occasionally global teams) in development of pitch books and related client materials
- Cover the entire European/EMEA Technology sector. Fintech will be a large focus, as will energy/climate tech
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with exposure to finance and accounting
- Some prior experience in software, fintech or data analytics sub-sectors preferred (ability to discuss how such businesses are typically valued would be a differentiator)
- Solid understanding of capital markets and spreadsheet modelling
- Excellent creativity and presentation/design skills, strong written and oral language skills
- Desire to be client-facing early in career (unique opportunity given team structure)
- Highly motivated
- This environment requires quick turnaround and decision-making, need to have confidence in own decision-making
- Ability to take initiative and function independently in near-term
- Must maintain high standard of professional and ethical conduct
- Requires advanced computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Some information source experience would be useful: Bloomberg, Reuters, Refinitiv, Pitchbook, Thomson Financial
