What is the opportunity? We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects while serving as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. This role combines project management expertise with technical knowledge to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days in the office.

What will you do?

  • Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables; create detailed project plans and schedules.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional technical teams, coordinate resources, and facilitate collaboration between developers, engineers, and other specialists.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential technical and scheduling risks; develop mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to leadership and clients; manage expectations and address concerns.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and control costs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet technical standards and quality requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Address blockers and technical challenges to keep projects on track.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Must-have: Strong technical background (software development, engineering, IT, or related field).
  • Project management expertise and familiarity with methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Strong ability to manage and influence stakeholders across both business and Technology teams, including developers, testers, platform leads, change leaderships, SMEs, solution analysts, and business analysts.
