What is the opportunity? We have an exciting opportunity for a Wealth Management Associate to join the team in our Glasgow office on a 12 month FTC basis. The Wealth Associate will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the team, while working under the guidance of senior colleagues in Wealth management. RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

  • Assist, support, and work under supervision of a senior wealth colleague.
  • Collates and verifies the accuracy of the information and work provided.
  • Support wealth colleagues with all aspects of client support and assist in preparation of reviews and client documentation.
  • Developing knowledge on breadth of investment, lending, cash, and trust solutions and begins to build knowledge through exposure to client support.
  • Information giver: providing client with information and not advice.
  • Supports business development through correct application of client processes and procedures.
  • Aware of the office business plans and develops understanding to supports the team in achieving overall objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with One RBC partners and functional colleagues across platforms, and partner with other business units to ensure clients are receiving exceptional services.
  • Comply with any reasonable instructions or regulations issued by the Company from time to time including those set out in the terms of the dealing and other manuals, including staff handbooks and all other group policies.
  • Assist team members as required and work effectively with colleagues.
  • Ensure adherence to group values, policies, procedures, and working practices.
  • Managing and operating within a risk management framework.
  • Adhering to Conduct Risk Standards.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Must-have Minimal administrative experience required.
  • Good attention to detail and diverse knowledge of business sectors, current business developments, market trends, and financial products and services are required to effectively communicate with and gain the confidence of clients.
  • Clear and concise communication skills – oral and written.
  • Relevant qualification(s): Working towards CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
  • Nice-to-have Existing knowledge of RBC Brewin Dolphin conduct and values.
