What is the opportunity?
You will be a key member of a London-based team responsible for maintaining and facilitating effective and transparent relationships and managing regulatory requests with RBC’s lead financial regulators, for all of RBC’s business segments and functional areas in the UK & Europe.
As a member of RBC Global Regulatory Relations, this role engages regularly with members of RBC’s Global Regulatory Relations function.
RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?
Regulatory Engagement & Maintaining Regulatory Relationships
- Assist the receipt, response, and follow-up of regulatory engagements, aligned with local regulatory expectations, Global Regulatory Relations practices, and regional Board and Management expectations/requirements.
- Accurately review and interpret regulatory requests and liaise with the appropriate internal stakeholders to develop responses that are complete, accurate and timely. Communicate with internal stakeholders throughout request process to manage expectations and outcomes.
- For the avoidance of doubt, the Associate will be approved to engage in direct, bilateral discussion with regulators.
Governance & Reporting
- Identify, evaluate, and understand risk issues and their connectivity throughout RBC during the normal course of business. Appropriately escalate potential risk issues to the relevant stakeholder, as appropriate.
Regulatory Advisory
- As a key member of a global team; the Associate will assist in the application of a cohesive and consistent approach to managing regulatory engagements and consistent reporting of regulatory matters across the respective region(s), including program governance, policies, procedures, and best practices, as applicable.
- Provide accurate, insightful, consistent, and timely regulatory engagement information through simultaneous updates to Global Head of Regulatory Relations and regional Boards of Directors, senior business/functions leadership, and other key RBC stakeholders.
- The Associate may be required to support confidential projects, in partnership with the Legal Affairs & Compliance Group and as such, a high degree of discretion and professionalism is required.
- The Associate will be expected to operate with limited supervision and be comfortable leading meetings with regulators and senior staff.

- Strong organisation skills demonstrated on a range of cross-functional initiatives/projects.
- Experience of Capital Markets, Wealth and Asset Management products and services.
- Prior experience of business analysis.
- Prior experience of working with regulators or in a highly regulated environment.
- Prior experience of corporate or regulatory relationship management.
- Highly experienced in producing corporate presentations.
- Degree level education.
- Tenacious with strong delivery focus.
- Ability to develop and communicate a strategy.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and with limited supervision.
Nice-to-have
• Previous experience working with executives.
• Project Management accreditation.
