What is the opportunity? Fabulous opportunity to join as a trainee in the Asset Services department. Your responsibilities within the Banking and Payments team will be to process wholesale trades booked by our traders ensuring timely cash settlement and confirmation matching. You will provide support relating to the area of banking and ensuring all transactions are dealt with in accordance of our defined Service Level Agreements. You will provide additional support for the Bank's Treasury Control activities, inclusive of control reporting and funding/Foreign Exchange (FX) requirements. RBC's expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

  • Processing trades tickets produced by the dealers, ensuring cash settlement and confirmation matching is performed in a timely manner.
  • Input system rate updates.
  • Actively make an effort to understand Regulations and Market changes as advised by Assistant Manager.
  • Input and reconciliation of fees, interest to be applied.
  • Administration of external reconciliations.
  • Reporting on external positions, FX positions, trading and profit for various RBC entities.
  • Daily tick back of the previous days FX input providing the dealers with timely and accurate currency positions.
