What is the opportunity?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Edinburgh or Birmingham as Business Development Sales Support on a permanent basis.
This role will be to provide proactive relationship management and assistance to Head of Nationals & Networks and Key Account Managers, to enhance our growth within the Intermediary market.
What will you do?

  • Proactively make inbound and outbound calls, send emails and manage outbound campaigns and appropriate inbound enquiries from Advisers on a National level.
  • Ensure all key Adviser data and activity is captured and updated on our internal systems.
  • Act as liaison between BDMs, Advisers and Investment Managers.
  • Attend and schedule Adviser meetings with Head of Nats/Nets, Key Account Manager & BDMs, ensuring all required documentation is prepared in advance.
  • Provide the Head of Nationals & Networks & Key Account Manager National firm contact data for onwards distribution.
  • Undertake regular strategy meetings with Head of Nationals & Networks and Key Account Manager, to plan, discuss and organise activities.
  • Internal liaison with Compliance to ensure that presentations are completed and available when required.
  • Liaise with marketing and the Intermediary Event Coordinator for national & Network events.
  • Co-ordinate the distribution of regular communications to BDMs & Advisers.
  • Ad-hoc project work driven by business requirements.
  • Follow-up of new business calls and literature requests to generate leads for the Sales Team and help better understand our client base.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and pass these through to the Sales team.
  • Support all new National IFA relationships and assist with account opening and ongoing servicing.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

  • Proven experience of working within a sales team and good working knowledge of the Adviser market.
  • Knowledge of current key regulatory and financial issues.
  • A general understanding of compliance and risk.
  • Excellent written and oral communicative skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience using Financial Clarity and FE Analytics (or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of RBC BD investment propositions.
