Building a sustainable tomorrow. BAM UK & Ireland are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Project Commercial Manager to work within the ASTI Framework. You will be required to work on a major energy infrastructure development in Inverness-shire.
As a Project Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Maintain effective communications with the Framework Director, Regional Commercial Manager, project management and other associated disciplines and enhance the profile of commercial services.
- Be responsible for staff matters which may include staff succession awareness, recruitment, development, attitude and behavioural issues, competency and retainment issues, staff allocation.
- Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documents.
- Ensure audits are carried out and feedback is provided to the business.
- Provide commercial input to contacts with clients, and if necessary, client's representatives.
- Provide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project issues and provide input to area commercial discussions/reviews.
- Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy.
- Ensure the production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts and company tied costs. Obtain cash-flow information and present all reports.
- Provide input to dispute identification and management.
- Produce and negotiate insurance claims with insurer's representatives.
- Agree terms and engage legal and commercial consultants and monitor their accounts.
- Maintain contact with supply chain partners through contract vetting and input to contract documentation.
- Carry out sub-contract document vetting and input to sub-contract documentation.
What do you bring to the role?
- Successful experience as a Commercial Manager working with multiple projects and with a minimum of 4 years in this role.
- Joint Venture experience.
- Member of a Professional Institution or working towards application of the ICES, or similar.
- Open collaborative approach and willing to help and assist those around you.
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant Commercial, Construction or Project Management qualification (preferred but not essential).
