BAM Site Solutions are looking for a Fire Services Technician to join our Fire Protection & Security team at our Depot in Wellingborough. This role requires travel in the area, including occasional visits to our offices in Morley, Allbrook & Kilsyth. We are offering a competitive salary + company van + training. BAM operates a flexible working policy.

Making Possible

Support the Project Services Operations Manager with all fire protection requirements across BAM operations. Undertake fire extinguisher servicing for BAM Construct and BAM Civils independently. Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering high standards of customer service aligned with the client’s culture. Work closely with clients to provide appropriate equipment, advice, and support that meets their business needs. Service, install, remove, and safely dispose of fire extinguishers and related components. Support the team in installing and maintaining temporary wireless fire alarms (training provided). Work with the team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within BAM Site Solutions services. Support work‑winning activity through the Sales Operations Team. Contribute to risk reviews and assist with implementing mitigation measures. Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues, clients, and key business stakeholders. Ensure policies, processes and procedures support effective compliance. Uphold BAM values and investigate customer complaints professionally to ensure satisfactory resolution. Liaise with and advise clients and stakeholders across the UK and Ireland to deliver a collaborative, high‑quality service. Support BAM’s commitment to continuous improvement in health and safety and reducing environmental impact.

What do you bring to the role?
  • Ideally be BAFE‑qualified with strong working knowledge of BS5306
  • Fire Extinguisher Training certificate is desirable
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem‑solving capability
  • Enthusiastic, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, able to consult and collaborate effectively at all levels of the business
  • Ability to multi‑task, prioritise and provide clear focus, direction, and solutions when required
  • Fire door assessment certification and/or fire alarm installation and maintenance experience is advantageous
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Be physically capable of lifting and carrying fire extinguishers, tools, and equipment
  • Be willing to travel, including occasional overnight stays
  • Full Driving license required
