Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM UK & Ireland is currently recruiting for an Agent to join our Roads and Networks team at Hinkley Point C, where you will play a vital role in ensuring technical compliance, delivering high‑quality work, and contributing to overall project success.

Making Possible
As Agent, your day to day will include:
- Leading and coordinating a team of Sub Agents and Engineers to successfully deliver works in line with approved design specifications, contractual requirements, and agreed project timescales.
- Ensuring effective communication, clear delegation of responsibilities, and high performance across the team.
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of Health & Safety policies and quality assurance processes, promoting a strong safety culture on site and ensuring full compliance with company standards and statutory regulations.
- Developing, maintaining, and regularly updating detailed project programmes to effectively plan, monitor, and measure daily and weekly site activities.
- Proactively identifying risks to progress and implementing mitigation strategies to maintain programme targets.
- Managing project costs through effective resource planning, labour allocation, and material procurement, ensuring works are delivered efficiently and within budget constraints.
- Accurately recording and reporting commercial events, including early warnings and compensation events, to support robust commercial management and contractual compliance.
- Building, developing, and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to foster collaboration, resolve issues proactively, and ensure successful project delivery.

What do you bring to the role?
- Hold a degree in civil engineering (or construction related) and working towards becoming a Chartered Member of the ICE or CIOB to support your personal development.
- Have proven knowledge of engineering management systems, quality processes and industry standards used within civil engineering and infrastructure organisations.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to maintain project documentation.
- Bring an enthusiastic, collaborative approach to teamwork contributing effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery teams.
- Possess strong commercial awareness and the ability to communicate professionally with clients, stakeholders, and project partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrolment onto ILM Level 3 Certificate C&BE plus completion of Nuclear Unit HS&E test or CCNSG Safety Passport.
Desirable:
- Completion of ILM Level 3 Certificate C&BE (within 6 months of start date).
- Plus one of the following; SMSTS IOSH Managing Safely in Construction.
