Technology Delivery Engineering Manager – Covent Garden Permanent Full time; 40 hours per week The Royal Ballet and Opera continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. The whole is always more than the sum of its parts – we may be a House, but three quarters of our audience experience what we do outside this building. While our Covent Garden theatre is the nerve centre, the impact and influence of the organisation can be felt in every corner of the country, and around the world. Keeping us connected to audiences across the world are our technology team, who enable us to do our jobs onsite by providing the network, infrastructure and systems for all departments to work effectively. We are now seeking to add an experienced Engineering Manager into our Technology Delivery Team in a newly created role. Working across a range of business transformation projects and upgrades, this position will be responsible for the successful delivery and ongoing maintenance of enterprise-grade database and API development projects. This includes leading a team of software engineers focused on developing, optimising and supporting scalable, secure and robust integration pipelines (iPaaS), while ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards. This role will be central to ensuring the design and implementation of integration solutions for enterprise software systems are delivered to a high standard. The role acts as a liaison between development teams and IT Operations, enabling effective collaboration across infrastructure, architecture, and support functions for complex technical programmes. With strong communication and stakeholder management skills, you will be able to demonstrate: Experience in leading a dynamic team of software engineers to provide design, development and eventual BAU of pipeline services Experience reporting to Senior Management in Technology services and providing reporting on projects and delivery Experience in agile and/or waterfall delivery methods (Project Management qualifications and/or experience are desirable) Knowledge of Technology Delivery, Technology Operations and Modern Cloud Architecture Knowledge of AWS Cloud Services and the financial operations of cloud systems Knowledge of Backup Systems and Data Security on Cloud Services and API platforms Previous ITIL or other service management and infrastructure qualifications are welcome so please reference these in your application if applicable.
