Casual rates £16.89 per hour with uplift for additional responsibilities. Shift patterns around rehearsal and performance schedule. Starting ASAP. Based in Covent Garden, London.

Our Role

The Royal Ballet and Opera’s Technical, Production and Costume Department ensures performances reach the highest quality by delivering technical excellence for every production. The Linbury Theatre technical team requires casual Theatre Technicians to provide holiday cover and assist during operational peaks to deliver performances, rehearsals and events.

Responsibilities

  • Technical casuals will work effectively as part of a team, participating in all necessary technical work for a production from stores/workshops to rehearsal room, to stage rehearsals and performance, and return to stores.
  • They will ensure all assigned activities are carried out to the highest possible standard of safety, efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in technical work for any theatre or repertory establishment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Self‑motivated to acquire new skills and knowledge in technical theatre
  • Positive and proactive attitude towards health and safety
