Estates Compliance and Fire Safety Manager – Covent Garden
Permanent Contract
Full time, 40 hours per week
Up to £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience

The role:
We are now seeking to recruit an Estates Compliance and Fire Safety Manager based within our Estates and Facilities Department. This role will be responsible for the development, delivery and implementation of the Estates strategic compliance and fire safety strategy.
Working closely with the Estates and Facilities Director, you will work on a series of annual plans for audit and improvement to ensure that the RBO complies with all H&S regulations. Acting as an advocate for best practice and safe working, you will build a network of key contacts (both internally and externally) and deliver training and recommendations across RBO.
What you`ll bring:
This role will suit a candidate with strong project management and organisational skills, who can work to a given brief, deliver all work to the required scope, budget and timelines. A positive, flexible can-do attitude and strong communication skills are essential.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
- A thorough working knowledge of and ability to interpret the requirements of the RRFSO FEDRA documentation and any other related legislation, guidance and approved codes of practice
- Significant experience leading on estates compliance and fire safety within a complex environment
- In- depth knowledge of the industry`s standards and regulations including Fire Safety, Water Safety, Asbestos, Pressure Systems, Confined Spaces, HV/LV and HVAC
- Substantial experience in a similar management level role within a public facing entertainment environment
- Good report writing skills, including analysis and statistical information
- The ability to find practical solutions within budgetary constraints
The following professional qualifications will also be highly regarded and should be referenced/evidenced in your application:
- Engineering qualification to degree standard
- Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers
- Professional recognised accreditation, IEng, CEng
- A safety qualification to NEBOSH certificate level
- Specialist qualification in fire safety/fire prevention and training. Relevant qualifications in fire safety training or significant experience
