The Royal Ballet and Opera continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. Our Jette Parker Artist Programme (JPAP) is designed to support the development of talented artists at the beginning of their career. JPAP accepts singers, conductors, pianists and directors of exceptional promise from all over the globe to train and perform with the Royal Opera over a 2-year period. It also delivers a wide range of courses, access and professional development opportunities to early career opera-makers and artists-in-training.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated assistant to support the smooth day-to-day operations of the Jette Parker Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. This role is perfect for a candidate looking to develop a career in arts administration and support, working on an industry-leading performance programme. It will suit a highly motivated, proactive individual with a passion for the artform and strong organisational skills.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong administrative experience within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent IT skills, which must include all Microsoft Office functions (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn DIESE artistic planning software, as well as other in-house platforms, Dayforce and Business Central.
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent proof-reading skills in both literacy and numeracy.
  • Excellent active listening and the ability to deal with people at all levels and in a wide range of contexts thoughtfully, sensitively, with integrity and discretion.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload with high productivity and flexibility.
