Pay rate: 19.26 per hour
Location: RBO Workshop, Thurrock
We currently have some exciting casual opportunities to join the Royal Ballet and Opera at the Bob and Tamar Manoukian Production Workshop, our purpose built state-of-the-art 3750 square metre building in Purfleet, Essex. The site contains a scenic construction carpentry workshop, metal workshop, paint studio and fit up area, enabling us to make scenery for the Royal Opera and Royal Ballet companies.
We are seeking to appoint Casual Scenic Metalworker to support on a basis operational demand and ensure that all scenic construction carpentry activities are carried out to the highest possible standard of safety, efficiency, and quality.
This role will suit a metalworkers who can demonstrate strong building skills within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge and experience of metalwork manufacture using traditional and modern techniques.
- Experience of constructing large scale sets for theatre venues or companies an advantage.
- Knowledge of Mig &Tig.
- An ability to work from scale drawings, models, plans, sketches, and verbal references.
- Strong awareness of and adherence to Health and Safety policy and best practice.
