Course Maintenance & Operations:
- Support the Golf Course Manager and Deputy in planning and delivering maintenance programmes
- Prepare both courses for daily play and competitions
- Operate and maintain fine turf equipment to ensure consistency and quality
- Ensure all playing surfaces meet high performance and presentation standards
- Maintain and follow Standard Operating Procedures
Team Leadership & Communication:
- Supervise and support greenkeeping staff
- Clearly communicate daily tasks and upcoming work schedules
- Train staff on equipment use and turf maintenance practices
- Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments
Environmental & Estate Management:
- Deliver work in line with environmentally sustainable practices
- Collaborate with the Head Gardener and Head Mechanic on wider estate upkeep
- Contribute to long-term course development and woodland management
Health & Safety:
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety policies
- Promote a safe working environment for staff and visitors
- Monitor adherence to procedures and guidelines
About You:
- NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in agronomy/turf management
- PA1, PA2, PA6 pesticide spraying licences
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience as a greenkeeper
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask and manage workloads
- Basic computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office)
