Purpose of the Role:
To manage the aggressive growth of the Retail department and be an active role within the Sales and Marketing Team, with a strong commercial sales focus. The purpose is to increase and grow revenue from the Club Shops and Online, ensuring the Club delivers a focused sales and marketing strategy to achieve budgeted revenues. The role is ideally suited to candidates with an exemplary standard of communication, both oral and written, from an environment where attention to detail is of paramount importance. 40 hours per week; Monday to Sunday.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Head of Sales & Marketing to ensure a focused sales effort to achieve agreed sales targets and financial goals.
- Manage the Club Shop Retail Assistants at both clubhouses.
- Manage the day‑to‑day running of the Club Shops and the Online Club shop.
- Remotely manage the Pall Mall Club Shop team and visit on a bi‑weekly basis.
- Manage the Club’s ecommerce shop to keep relevant and up to date, including photography, content, and stock.
- Achieve the budgeted revenue targets and subsidy as approved by the Board in the annual financial budget plan.
- Control stock management and be fully responsible for count, turnover, invoicing and purchasing.
About you:
- Proven leadership experience in a retail environment
- Experience using Shopify
- Experience working in a multi‑disciplined team
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Budgeting input/review/control
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- Outbound telephone communication for results‑focused marketing campaigns
- Team player
- Passion for dealing with people face‑to‑face and over the phone
- Ability to work using own initiative
