Providing a first-class service offering accommodation, dining, sports and leisure facilities for the enjoyment of our members and guests. Based in our Woodcote Park clubhouse in Epsom.

The Kitchen Porter Supervisor role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required based on the kitchen's operational needs.

  • 5 shifts per week over a 7 day week, shift patterns to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Early, Mid and Late, 8 hour shifts range from starting at 8.00am, 4.00pm and 5:00pm.

Purpose of the role:

As a Kitchen Porter Supervisor, you'll lead a team of 14 kitchen porters, ensuring our kitchens and back-of-house operations run smoothly and meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. You'll coordinate shifts, assign tasks, provide training, and monitor performance to keep our team motivated and efficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and guide a team to achieve their best.
  • Handle long shifts involving standing, lifting, and cleaning tasks.
  • Oversee the kitchen porter team, manage shift schedules, and delegate tasks.
  • Educate new kitchen porters on cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and health & safety standards.
  • Assess staff performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity and efficiency.

About you:

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter Supervisor or in a similar role, with supervisory.
  • Previous experience of working in a kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations and experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong ability to organise tasks and multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication abilities to manage a team and work collaboratively with kitchen staff.
  • Capability to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting and moving equipment and supplies.
  • A proactive approach with keen attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
