We are a purpose-led member organisation striving to create greater value for our members and deliver on our purpose to be β**The driving force for a better WA**.β We are looking for a **Claims Specialist** to join our established and high preforming Motor Assessing team at our **Welshpool** office. On a daily basis this role will be accountable for providing administrative support and act as a referral point to the Motor Assessors and Motor Assessing Managers whilst ensuring a consistent delivery of insurance claims services to our members. This is achieved by having great conversations over the phone and by accurate information recording on our systems. * Deliver exceptional service to members, third parties and service providers on claims enquiries and lodgement referrals via multiple channels throughout the insurance claim* Manage assigned caseload in line with best practice procedures* Manage the motor vehicles salvage operations, including all cleared vehicles to be sold through the appropriate and authorised channel* Enable the release of salvage vehicles for auction and arranging the disposal of total losses* Explain total loss process including processing timeframes to members to manage expectations* Provide reliable and accurate correspondence on total loss claims* Support single vehicle claims and acting as a point of contact for external assessors and repairers* Assist motor claims settlement follow up actions, reviewing assessment reports and case notes to support a prompt settlement.* An eagerness to learn, we will train you in all the technical aspects of the role, no previous insurance experience is needed!* Strong computer literacy skills and the ability to learn new systems* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Good customer service skills and a high attention to detail* Experience in conflict resolution and negotiating* Time management skills* Commitment to putting members at the centre of everything you do* A workplace culture where our people feel valued, respected and empowered* RAC recognise the value of flexible working arrangements to help you achieve a balance between work responsibilities and personal commitments.
