We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Services Assistant to join the existing Building Services team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful applicant will be able to assist in the below duties:

  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of the buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Perform routine inspections of the facilities and report any issues to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Conduct minor repairs, including plumbing, joinery, decorating, minor electrical tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and supplies.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and work tickets promptly and efficiently.
  • Work alongside external contractors as required.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to accomplish tasks.
  • Play a pro-active role as a team member of the Operations department.
  • Provide excellent customer care.
  • Identify and report security risks and potential hazards.
  • Any other duties as commensurate with the post.
  • Participate in training and development as required.

Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to work flexibly, be highly organised and self-motivated with a proven ability to work to tight deadlines. They must be an effective and professional communicator, able to engage with stakeholders and build relationships at all levels across the organisation.

Hours: 36 hours / 5 days etc. The role is based at Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, where weekend, evening and bank holiday working will be required. There is also a requirement to be on-call 1 week out of 3, including weekends.
