We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Registrar to join the existing team. Reporting to the Registrar, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing short & long-term loans and acquisitions. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of registrar skills and experience within a U.K. national museum.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who is organised, has good attention to detail and is a team player.
Responsibilities- Report to the Registrar.
- Manage short & long-term loans and acquisitions.
- Develop registrar skills and experience within the UK national museum environment.
- Work flexibly, be highly organised and self‑motivated, and meet tight deadlines.
- Engage as an effective professional communicator, building relationships at all levels across the organisation.
- Work in a hybrid model, being primarily based in Leeds but travelling to Fort Nelson and the Tower of London.
- Enthusiastic candidate, organised, detail oriented, team‑player.
- Ability to work flexibly, highly organised, self‑motivated with proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective professional communicator with stakeholder engagement.
Fixed‑term contract for 12 months, working 36 hours 5/7 days nominally Monday to Friday. The role is hybrid with some office‑based activities as well as remote working.
