We are a 'Good' school (Ofsted, April 2024), where our boarding provision was recently judged as 'Outstanding' (Ofsted, 2025). The inspectors highlighted that our "students are making significant progress," noting they are "supported through a culture of high expectation, helping them to achieve the best they can." We are a lively and purposeful co-educational, comprehensive state boarding school for children aged 7 to 18 years, with approximately 700 flexi-boarders and 300 full boarders. We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of English and/or Media Studies who can deliver highly effective, innovative teaching across our Senior School. You will be a practitioner who ensures all students make excellent progress while inspiring a genuine passion for your subject. At KS4, all students study both English Language and English Literature at GCSE, and we are proud to see a significant number of students progress to degree-level study. Media Studies is an incredibly popular choice at both KS4 and KS5, offering an exciting opportunity for a teacher to shape the curriculum for our older students. Our department is committed to building on our strong academic successes across the entire ability range. Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly welcomed; we offer a supportive environment perfect for launching a successful teaching career.
